A single entry to a galley/corridor kitchen is the most ergonomic option for this layout. With a single entry there is no through traffic so no one will be passing through the kitchen work triangle (or other work zone) and bumping into the cook.

Ergonomic Options

  • Place the refrigerator near the entry way - it keeps trips for drinks and such from interfering with other kitchen work
  • Place the snack cupboard near the entry way for the same reason
  • Place the sink, dishwasher and trash near the entry way to make disposal and dish drop off more convenient
