Overuse Syndrome

Definition: An overuse syndrome is a syndrome that can affect almost all of your body parts. It is caused by overusing something. Repetitive or misappropriate use of a body part can hasten or worsen the injury.

Overusing a body part to the point of trauma (major, minor, or micro) causes this injury.

Also Known As: OS, Repetitive Stress Injuries, Repetitive Stress Disorders, Repetitive Strain Injuries or Disorders, Repetitive Motion Injuries or Disorders, Cumulative Trauma Disorders, Musculoskeletal Disorders
Examples: Tennis Elbow is a common repetitive stress injury.
