Layout the in a hierarchy of need. Those you use most often (tape and scissors) should be closest to you. Then layer them farther out accordingly.

  • Keep enough space around each tool so you can grab it without moving another tool.
  • Keep the tool oriented so you grab the part you are supposed to grab.
  • You should never have to stretch or bend to reach a tool. You also should not have them so close to you that you have to bend your elbow less than 90 degrees to grab it.
