Unless you print out all of your gift tags (which is a very ergonomic thing to do) you are in for a fair amount of writing. Choose a pen whose ink will dry on the paper or tag you are using. Some glossy, metallic or slick papers do not soak in ink very well. Use a permanent ink marker, like a fine tipped Sharpie, for your writing on these surfaces.

Avoid Writer's Cramp by choosing an ergonomic pen. The ErgoSof Penagain and Ez Grip Ez1 Pen are good ergonomic choices.
