The best way to increase your grip strength is by exercising and increasing your muscle strength. But you can also increase your grip strength through the proper application of leverage.

Using the mechanics of your body to your advantage you can increase your grip by flipping it. Twist your hand at the wrist so that the thumb and pointer finger are on the bottom. Then grip like you normally would.

Your functional grip is now stronger, especially when twisting. This is great for loosening those stubborn jar lids.
