Question: What is the Lumbar Spine?
Answer: The lumbar spine is also referred to as the low back. It is the area of the spine that curves outwards (convexly) right below the small of your back (the convex part of the spine).
The lumbar spine is the part of the spine that compresses the low back and is a focal point for most bending and twisting motions. It is also vulnerable to injury and is where most back problems are located.
